In the recent IAMOT 2024 conference held on July 8th, INEGI presented the work developed at a company of the GreenGray Group, showcasing the application of the novel UTAUT-for-Industry methodology, to support the implementation of two new technologies, as well as the application of ergonomic methodologies to characterize the company’s workers and workspace. This work is part of the PRODUTECH R3 - WP8 project, aimed at refining the integration of new technologies within the company.

In the recent IAMOT 2024 conference held on July 8th, INEGI presented the work developed at Eurogalva Group, showcasing the application of the novel UTAUT-for-Industry methodology to support the implementation of two new technologies: a vertical warehouse and a robot for selecting and assembling screw kits, as well as the application of ergonomic methodologies to characterize the company’s workers and workspace.

This work is part of the PRODUTECH R3 - WP8 project, aimed at refining the integration of new technologies within the company. The combined UTAUT-for-Industry and ergonomic approaches, was utilized to both characterize the workers and assess the factors that influence their acceptance toward new technologies. By analyzing the responses from employees, the project aims to enhance the definition of requirements and specifications, ensuring a smoother integration process, while the characterization of the workspace intends to ensure that the chosen technologies are suitable to the employees’ needs.

The participation in the IAMOT 2024 conference underscores the project's contribution to advancing Industry 5.0 principles, emphasizing the human-centered approach to technological integration. INEGI’s efforts at Eurogalva Group exemplify the potential of combining advanced methodologies with employee-centered approaches to drive innovation and sustainability in manufacturing. This project not only aims to improve operational efficiency but also to create a work environment that respects and enhances the human element, setting a benchmark for future implementations in the industry. The conducted work also served as the foundation for a scientific paper currently under submission, highlighting the significance of integrating employee feedback in the design phases of new technologies.
