Description
The PRODUTECH R3 Innovation Pact is a strategic and integrated initiative, comprising a set of programs aimed at:
Transforming Industry, developing and transferring R&D and transforming it into new products and services (namely production technologies), enabling and supporting companies in this sector in their associated innovation processes, but also supporting companies in user sectors to adopt and endogenize these new technologies in their production systems, contributing to competitiveness, sustainability and resilience;
Qualifying Industry for Resilience, Growth and Innovation;
Training and Professional Education in Innovative Production Technologies, thus supporting the ambitious transformation;
Internationalization of companies;
Broad promotion and dissemination of the Pact and its outcomes.
Goals
The PRODUTECH R3 project aims to bring about a structural change in the Production Technologies sector (PT), enabling it to exploit the significant investments the industry will make in terms of the green and digital transition, thus reducing external technological dependence, increasing the added value generated in the country and contributing to a change in the specialization of the Portuguese economy.
Alicerçado numa parceria que reúne 108 empresas e outras entidades, da FTP, dos principais setores da indústria e do sistema científico e tecnológico, o projeto prevê o desenvolvimento colaborativo de 85 novos produtos e serviços inovadores e a sua demonstração em mais de 52 pilotos em empresas dos setores utilizadores e o desenvolvimento de ações complementares nas vertentes da educação e formação, da internacionalização, da disseminação e da capacitação da FTP, induzindo uma alteração estrutural e a criação de um verdadeiro ecossistema de inovação na área de tecnologias de produção, dinâmico e sustentável.
This approach aims to take advantage of the cross-cutting nature of production technologies and cross-fertilization processes, leveraging the positioning of companies in the production technologies sector and promoting knock-on effects throughout the national economic fabric.

The PRODUTECH R3 project - Mobilizing Agenda for the Production Technologies Sector for Reindustrialization, is funded by the European Union under the NextGeneration EU program through the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (RRM) and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP - www.recuperarportugal-gov.pt).
