PRODUTECH R3 promotes EU PROJECTS BOOSTER BOOTCAMP in Aveiro

The initiative brought together companies and organisations from the scientific community to identify opportunities within the Horizon Europe programme, promote the formation of new consortia and prepare future applications for European funding, building on the momentum for innovation generated by the PRODUTECH R3 Mobilisation Agenda.

On 8 July, a bootcamp dedicated to preparing applications for European funding programmes took place at the AIDA CCI premises in Aveiro. The initiative brought together various partners from the PRODUTECH R3 Mobilisation Agenda, who responded to the challenge launched by PRODUTECH in April, with the aim of identifying opportunities to participate in the Horizon Europe programme and structuring future applications.

The event was attended by companies developing production technologies, such as CEI, ERISING, INTROSYS, INKLUSION and JPM, as well as end-user companies, including IBER-OLEFF, IBEROMOLDES and MCG, which presented new innovation challenges. Also present were organisations from the scientific and technological sector, namely the CCG, INEGI, INESC TEC, IST and PIEP, who contributed their technological expertise and experience gained from preparing for and participating in European projects.

The initiative also benefited from the active participation of ANI, which led the opening plenary session dedicated to the Horizon Europe Programme. During this session, an overview of Portuguese participation was presented, along with the funding opportunities currently available and the main aspects to consider when preparing applications. Subsequently, during the working sessions dedicated to each challenge, ANI supported participants in assessing whether their ideas fitted the scope of the identified calls and in defining the key elements to highlight when developing the concept.

By the end of the Bootcamp, it was clear that the participants were highly motivated and strongly committed to continuing the developments initiated under the PRODUTECH R3 Mobilising Agenda. The initiative helped to consolidate new opportunities for collaboration between companies and organisations within the science and technology sector, laying the foundations for future applications to the Horizon Europe programme.

The PRODUTECH R3 project – Mobilisation Agenda for the Production Technologies Sector for Reindustrialisation – is funded by the European Union under the NextGeneration EU programme through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP – www.recuperarportugal-gov.pt).
