PRODUTECH R3 promoted an OPEN DAY at CEI by Zipor

On December 10th, CEI by Zipor had the pleasure of receiving 14 students from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, in a visit organized within the scope of Produtech R3, WP17 in partnership with the respective Student Association, which from the beginning showed great enthusiasm for the initiative.

The reception was warmly conducted by Álvaro Gouveia, one of the company's managers, who showed great availability and commitment to providing a remarkable experience for visitors.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to watch a practical demonstration and to experience the use of robots used in the company's activities, which allowed a deeper understanding of the technological solutions developed.

The route was guided with a high degree of detail, emphasizing the organization's unique management culture. One of the aspects highlighted was the autonomy of employees, who are directly responsible for the execution of daily tasks and the quality of the work carried out. It should be noted that, although the planning of activities is rigorous, there is always a margin of flexibility to meet emergencies and urgent customer requests. A highlight in this organizational structure is the absence of middle managers, which promotes a culture of shared responsibility among all employees.

This model allows teams to become more autonomous, dynamic and collaborative, contributing to a more agile and efficient work environment. To ensure coordination and alignment, a morning meeting is held daily, where the objectives for the day are defined. These meetings are brief, focused, and allow all team members to understand priorities and organize work efficiently.

Additionally, in situations where technical problems or customer complaints arise, the approach is always constructive. Teams focus on identifying and resolving challenges, avoiding a culture of blame.

This attitude not only fosters a more positive and productive environment, but also encourages continuous learning, allowing the organization to grow and improve consistently. Being a machine tool production company, productivity is evaluated not by the number of parts produced, but by the improvement of the processes that ensure the error-free production of the parts necessary for the construction of the equipment.

This approach reinforces operational excellence and commitment to quality. Social responsibility, safety and inclusion are values integrated into the organization's daily life, with regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement. With regard to safety, a preventive attitude prevails, with a thorough assessment of situations that may lead to accidents and the implementation of corrective measures.

The visit was an enriching experience for the students, providing them with a practical perspective on the application of engineering, management and innovation principles. This type of initiative reinforces the connection between academia and business, promoting the training of future professionals who are more prepared and aware of the challenges of the market.
