ESG and Sustainability Integrated into Strategy

The first face-to-face session of the Cycles of Reflection and Thematic Dissemination on Innovative Production Technologies took place on January 29, at the Tryp Porto Expo Hotel.

Sofia Veloso Ferreira started the session by framing the theme "ESG and Sustainability Integrated into Strategy", which for more than two hours served as the basis for an interesting debate and exchange of experiences.

These cycles, which will continue until the end of the year, are being promoted within the scope of the PRODUTECH R3 Mobilizing Agenda, and are the responsibility of WP17, which has the collaboration of WP19 for the development of this program.

Viviana Pinto, Sustainability Specialist and Professor at Porto Business School, addressed the ESG topic in depth and introduced the guests, Manuel Bastos from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Ana Lourenço from Colep Packaging, who shared with the audience of close to three dozen people, the practical cases of the companies they represent. It was an initiative of high interest and two more sessions will soon take place within the ESG theme:

1. February 13th: Sustainability Report Session (Porto)

2. February 26th: Sustainability Indicators and Life Cycle Assessment Session (Braga).

The PRODUTECH R3 project - Mobilizing Agenda for the Production Technologies Sector for Reindustrialization, is funded by the European Union under the NextGeneration EU program through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) and the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP - www.recuperarportugal.gov.pt).
