CHEERS UP TO PPS1 AND PPS2! - SISTRADE PRESENTS D2T smartPLM AT EUROMA SUSTAINABILITY FORUM 2025
SISTRADE participated in the 12th Euroma Sustainability Forum, where it presented the solutions developed within the scope of D2T smartPLM, an innovative solution for the sustainable management of the product life cycle. This presentation took place within the scope of WP2 of the Produtech R3 Mobilizing Agenda, a strategic project funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and Next Generation EU, which aims to drive sustainable reindustrialization through digitalization and innovation.
D2T smartPLM: Sustainability and Efficiency in Product Lifecycle Management D2T smartPLM was developed to meet one of the main challenges in the industry: the integration of sustainable practices in the product lifecycle. The solution combines two advanced scientific methodologies, whose implementation was guided by INEGI and IST - Lean Design for eXcellence (LeanDfX) and 0-4D - to evaluate and optimize product efficiency from planning to production.
The presentation highlighted the validation of the tool in different industrial sectors such as Intra logistics (JPM) and Ornamental rocks (CEI by ZIPOR). The results demonstrated that the direct application of academic methodologies in industrial environments required adaptations. For example, LeanDfX, which originally limited analysis to three-level product structures, has been modified to allow interactive visualization of critical points in the life cycle.
The 0-4D methodology, initially developed for manual classification of individual components, was adjusted to allow the categorization of complex subassemblies and calculation of partial costs. Industry Impact and Next Steps D2T smartPLM offers a robust set of tools to help companies prioritize improvements in the design and production of their products, promoting data-driven decisions that drive efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness. As a next step, the project team will focus on the technological maturation of the solution and its continuous validation in an industrial environment, ensuring that companies can integrate this technology into their production processes effectively. By participating in the Euroma Sustainability Forum, SISTRADE reinforces its commitment to the Produtech R3 Agenda, demonstrating how sustainable innovation and digitalization are essential for the industry of the future.
